Real or artificialll Christmas Tree's

Should Christmas tree's be real of artificial? Christmas tree's real and fake a both really nice. They look a like but one is real and one is fake. The real and artificial trees are both very similar but they are different. The real Christmas tree's are real and you have to water them like normal plants but there tree's. The artificial tree's you don't have to worry about watering or taking care of it because you don't have to you only need to build it or put it up in your house. Real tree's loose parts of them like the leaves and branches and shed all over while artificial you don't have to worry much about the leaves coming off. An artificial tree alouds you to keep it up until as long as you want but a real tree will start dying so you won't be able to keep it up as long. The real Christmas tree's leave a good smell of evergreen and artificial doesn't.

Real and artificial christmas tree's are both good and bad. They both are wonderful but the real tree's have a lot of work to take a care of and they make a mess. Artificial tree's are more decorative and you don't have to worry about having a mess in your house from leaves on the ground. What do you think real or artificial Chyristmas Tree's.

My Christmas Holiday traditions

Santa its getting closer to the holidays are coming up and I’m asking for a lot of things but I don’t need them all. I just have two things I really want, but I’m only asking you for one. A dog.  I’ve wanted one since I was little, but I can’t get one because I live in a townhouse and we are not allowed to have one there.
Therefore, I want a new house so I can have a dog. If I get a dog, I will have to learn to be more responsible. If I’m more responsible, I might not forget my homework in my locker. A dog will teach me more about taking care of an animal. I won’t be able to tell my mom that I’m bored if  I have a dog because I won’t be. I will be more responsible but the only way I can get it is if I move to a new home. However, I still want to go to Herbert Hoover, so this new home would need to be in that vicinity.
I think I deserve a house because I’ve been good all year and I’ve been doing extremely well in school. If I get a new house, I may be able to learn a lot more about taking care of something. Santa please try to get me this if you can’t, I’ll understand.

Sincerely,
Deana Maffucci

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving takes place on the fourth Thursday of November. The first Thanksgiving was held on top of a large rock. They got to it by the first Native American driving the Plymouth into the middle of the festivity. The autumn harvest festival (Thanksgiving) featured food such as turkey, giblets, lettuce mashed potato, and lots more. The  thanksgiving was the first gathering amongst pilgrims. The Thanksgiving history was a time for overeating, dancing, and drinking. The day they had the harvest festival the pilgrims and the Native Americans played games such as rugby,Native American soccer, badminton, and jarts. All the thirteen colonies did not celebrate Thanksgiving on the same day until the year of 1777. The first thanksgiving was in the year of 1621. George Washington was the first person who declared the holiday and that was in the year of 1789. During the Civil War Abraham Lincoln was looking for ways to unite the nation and he gave the Thanksgiving Proclamation in the year 1863 on the last Thursday of November.

! I’m lucky enough to have a family, some people don’t have anyone, not a mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt ,uncle, and grandparents, but i have a family that cares about me. Thanks for the clothes i have. Food my mom makes, all the time. The reasons I thank you for everything is because you deserve it. All your hard work payed off. There’s many other things sitting in my mind and I can’t let it out I would probably have  to write a book to express that. Thanks to everyone reading this you really helped and cared for us!

HALLOWEEN!!!! COSTUME!!!!

My Halloween costume is weird and and cute i guess. I am a crayon and it is a pink one too. I got it not a long ago. I wanted to be this mad for you but they didn't have my size so i was looking all around and found it, the one i wanted a crayon i wanted the lime green one but they were out of them and they only had a pink crayon left. I had to get that one even though its a little big with some touch ups it will be nice. I got my Halloween costume at Spirit Halloween. They had many choices but since i chose mine close to the last minute they didn't have many choices for my size. I've never seen any costume like this before or seen a costume like this so i got it. It was really cool.

patriotism

Patriotism is really important. It really matters. If you really respect our country and people who served for our country you would know right away that it matters and personally I think it matters.

When I hear the word Patriotism I think of the men and woman who served for our country. I also think of the colors red, white, and blue, and the love for our country. Patriotism stands out in my life. If patriotism is men and woman who served our country it should stand out for every person. If we didn’t have the military, army, air force, navy, coast guard, and other people our country would be very unsafe and crazy. Even with the men and woman who served our country our life as we know it is still at risk. People rarely let there kids walk everywhere they go like they use to be able to when are parents and grandparents were children. Our life would be even worst without them.

Freedom, hope, respect, spirit, love, and many other words come to my mind when I think of Patriotism. Mostly the word spirit comes to mind when I hear Patriotism. It comes to mind because when you hear the word spirit I think of like school spirit and colors for our country instead of for school. Spirit for our country is the colors red, white, and blue. The colors of the American flag. The colors that show our nation, our country, and where we come from. Not our nationality because we have a special country one with almost every single culture and religion.

The people such as army, navy, coast guard, marines, and all other things, you should thank. They served for our country and a lot of people don’t want to risk there lives to protect our country and there nice enough to give up there life and die for our country. I think patriotism is super important and is a great thing. You should think the same and think about how many people died to save everyone in our country, all our lives just to protect our lives, from dying.

Mirroring Ralph Fletcher

In the book that we read little snippets about by Ralph Fletcher there were some outstanding sentences, dialogue, and a lot of other goodies. In the short story "First Pen" Ralph states "What words were hidden-unborn , unwritten-in all the unused ink." (Fletcher Pg. 43) He is describing how special it is to write with that ink and how he makes up special touching stories like "First Pen" That he got to write only because of that special pen he has. In the book "Marshfield" I was able to relate to the story very easily in the excerpt "Bobby." This is a sad one but its very touching. Ralph states "Bobby never got the chance to grow up. In his last year of high school he was killed in a car accident."(Ralph. Pg 59-60) This sentence was sad and touching. These little short chapters was very descriptive and some were sad and some had humor.

SUPER.............................DUPER..........................LOOPER

As we were walking in Hershey park one ride caught my eye, the super...duper....lopper! I've never been on an upside down ride before so this was my first try. My friends from soccer and our parents told us to try the ride. My friend Elena and I got in line so she can go with me. Every one else had a different partner. We were up next. As i was standing on line goosebumps formed  on my arms. I was nervous. the cart for us to go in was ready. Elena and I jumped into the cart and was shaking. Elena and i were the only people who has never been on an upside down ride before. They buckled us in now we really can't get out in til the ride is over. The man speaking at the microphone said " ready, set, GO." Now we were going up the loop.  I just sat there so calm and didn't do anything not one scream, and i didn't close my eyes. I finally got over my fear and roller coasters, and upside down rides are all i go on.

middle schoollllllll

Don't you just love middle school. You get to embark on a new journey to a whole different school. In middle school we get to have our own lockers. The switching from class to class isn't very challenging at all but if you stay organized you'll be on time for every class. Its so much better to have a different teacher for every subject so your not stuck with same teacher all day long. One of the bad things about middle school is that we don't have recess time to go and hang out with our friends instead we have a 29 minute lunch then we have to work right away. so far middle school has been a blast.
